Seven of Swords
Strategy becomes deception when it serves only self-interest. The Seven of Swords depicts the lone figure taking what he can carry, looking back to ensure he isn't seen. Sometimes stealth is necessary—when systems are unjust, when direct action is impossible—but the card asks us to examine our motives. Are you avoiding necessary confrontation? Taking what hasn't been offered? The swords not taken suggest that this 'victory' is partial at best.
