Three of Swords
Some truths cut deep, and the wound is the price of clarity. The Three of Swords acknowledges heartbreak in its many forms—betrayal, loss, the end of hope—without minimizing its pain. The heart pierced by swords suggests that understanding often arrives through suffering; the storm clouds indicate that this is not gentle revelation but necessary truth. Grief is appropriate. So is the knowledge that hearts, remarkably, continue beating even when broken.
